Seeing A Psychic For The First Time? Here’s What Not To Do!
Most of us think our first psychic reading is going to be just like the movies, or worse, don’t know what to expect. If you’re scared or nervous, we can tell you that you have nothing to fear when visiting a psychic. Follow the guidelines listed below to have a positive first-time experience.
Think you’ll remember and NOT record the session
If you’re caught up in an emotional moment, you’re unlikely to remember every bit of your session. It helps to record the activity on your phone so you can go over it later. Listening to the session at your convenience may help you discover that a certain fact you weren’t aware of is true, or a comment that did not make sense before will resonate later.
Deliberately try to trick or test the psychic
Most skeptics find themselves tempted to try to mislead a psychic to see if they know what they’re talking about, which is a waste of time. If you do so, the spirit will be very insistent and call you out on it. The spirit is coming from another frequency and looking to meet you halfway, so you must go there with an open mind and be honest. Don’t lie or hold back the necessary information.
Show up to the session inebriated
It’s never a good idea to show up anywhere tipsy, including your first psychic session. Do not be tempted to throw back a few even if you’re a bit nervous. Some psychics will refuse to read you because something that may have had meaning to you when sober could just sail right over your head if you’re intoxicated.
Try to dictate the course of the reading
If you’re visiting a psychic, it’s likely because you have a question that needs answering or an area of your life that you want insight into. But don’t be so laser-focused on that issue that you refuse to let the psychic steer the conversation in another direction. Spirits don’t work that way, and not being open is the biggest mistake you can make. Even if you want hard facts about your relationships, don’t stop the flow of conversation if they’re offering you information about your career.
Sign up for a group reading if you want it to be about you
If you take along a trusted friend or family member for support during an emotional session, understand that it may mean that what you are there for could go unaddressed. A three-person session cannot be divided equally among those three people, as messages tend to come in more strongly for one person than another. If the reading ends up being more focused on your friend, be ready to accept that that’s the way it was meant to be.
Show up late or be distracted by your phone
Treat your psychic with common courtesy and let them know if you’re going to be late. Also, don’t attempt to haggle, and approach the experience respectfully. Be a polite person and treat your psychic the way you would want them to treat you.
